Weigh In #4: 2.4 lbs Lost But Still Struggling

November 21, 2018 by Wendy Leave a Comment

I started my weight loss journey approximately 1 month before I created this blog, so technically this is my fourth weigh in. I’ll recap my results so far…

Starting weight: 295.6 lbs

Week 1: 291.8

Week 2: 286.8

Week 3: 285.4

Week 4: 283.0

(since you know, pic or it didn’t happen)

Weekly Loss: 2.4 lbs

Total loss: 12.6 lbs

This week was pretty hard for me to be honest. I’m still struggling with resisting old habits. I wish I could just drive through McDonald’s and order a large Mocha Frappe with 3 chocolate chip cookies. I want to go inside the gas station when I get gas and grab candy and a big fountain drink, or slushie. I want to put more junk in my cart when I go grocery shopping. I wish I could sit down in front of the TV and snack, just because I feel like it.

But I can’t do those things now, and it’s so so very hard.

Since I’m not making anything off limits, I could TECHNICALLY still do these things if I wanted to.  But I need to break the habit of doing it all the time. I need to stop using it as a constant source of comfort.

I feel like I’m going through a grieving process, however pathetic that may sound.

But I’m resisting. I’m learning to tell that voice in my head NO when it screams at me to eat bad stuff. I’m in control. I’M IN CONTROL!

Despite the struggles, I did manage to lose weight

Here’s a look at my calorie and Fitbit steps stats for the week!

MyFitnesspal

Here’s my weekly calorie chart…

I went crazy on Wednesday and forgot to track Friday, but overall I did well to stay under my calories (2,160 per day)

Fitbit steps

I also did fairly well with the daily steps, averaging around 10,300 per day. Although I did fall short of the 11,000 mark. I’ll have to try better next week.

Check in later!
